Faith

Posted by Linda Beth Stafford on February 1, 2012 at 10:06pm 2 Comments

My first blog post on this site last year was titled “Fear and Faith Cannot Co-Exist”. I started my training season with that mantra and I encourage you all to let that thought linger in your head for a while…. Fear and faith cannot co-exist. I wasn’t sure that I had faith in myself last year, I just knew I had to do something different because my life wasn’t where I wanted it to be. All I knew is that every day I planned my runs or prepared for Saturday groups, was that I was scared. But…

So far this week

Posted by Christina Bach on February 1, 2012 at 8:41pm 2 Comments

Well, I posted already that I exercised Sunday, but it was a bit of a dud.  Monday was actually dismal.  My cross training (swapped days) was twenty reps with five pound dumbells and two minutes of downword facing dog.  So sad.  But, yesterday I felt great about my forty-ish minutes of training.  And today my cross-training was a good yoga session.  So I am feeling back on the upward swing.  And yoga kicked up the endorphins too, mellowing me out.  :)  I needed that.

Morning weather

Posted by JuliaLeggett on February 1, 2012 at 6:36pm 0 Comments

So Monday morning I froze, Tuesday morning I sweated some - wonder what tomorrow will bring?  Please no rain, since I just don't see the sense in running in the rain.

Hope everyone is having a great week.  I'm so glad we've gotten cranked back up!

JUST FOR FUN! "The Rest of the Story"

Posted by Dick Michener on February 1, 2012 at 6:00pm 0 Comments

I'm not sure if there was a glitch or if the web site censored most of this blog because of the subject line which I shared.  In any case, I will recreate the rest of my blog.

There have been a lot of serious blogs involving a lot of serious issues.  In MM, as in life, fun is mandatory, so I am going to share an actual e-mail which I just received from the kind of local specialty running store which Mark and Robin like to tout.  Is this effective marketing or marketing madness? You…

Moving Right Along

Posted by Daphne White on February 1, 2012 at 11:10am 5 Comments

Got done with my CrossTraining and things went pretty well once I stopped procrastinating this morning.  I did feel something release in the back of my left knee with one of the stretches/positions.  Not sure if that is going to end up being a good thing or a bad thing; but it didn't hurt, just kind of startled me.

Getting antsy about everything.  I planned on hitting the road Friday morning and seeing how far I could go, but I keep having another thought of taking a little…

Kinda Scared

I've always been a very positive person and am generally happy all the time, but I must admit I'm really kinda scared about this.  The first mile was hard, and my legs really hurt the next day. …Continue
